Here we are, all set to start our big journey! On the first plane, Chen took the hot spot and sat right between the two girls, while I sat (quite happily) by myself across the aisle.
Magdalenne was so adorably excited about the flight:
Our next plane was smaller and only three seats across - two on one side and one across the aisle. Juliette decided she wanted to sit with Magdalenne by themselves in the two seats next to each other - and again they were thrilled by the whole thing. (The clothes are different because we put them in pajamas during our layover in Mexico City. Unfortunately, they didn't sleep a wink on this flight, so our midnight arrival was a bit challenging as far as their moods went.)
All in all - we were very lucky with how smoothly everything went getting there. Chen and I were both thoroughly exhausted after lugging everything and everyone for 14 hours from Milwaukee to San Luis Potosi, but we all made it in one piece!
