A few weeks ago we headed down via the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center.
And then on the fourth of July weekend we went again via Atwater Park in Shorewood. It was still too cold to go swimming, but the girls had a great time just playing in the sand and bringing the water to the holes they dug.
And last but not least -- this doesn't totally count as a "lake" but here are some shots from last weekend when Juliette discovered her love of inland lakes and the frogs they harvest. We were at Devil's River Campground and she had her hands full of the amphibious creatures all weekend long.
The rest of our camping crew wasn't quite as enthused about the frogs as she was...

Deacon Bob, however, did perform a daring/cruel rescue of one of Juliette's frogs while J was napping:
Good times by the lake... :)
